Biologists from the nonprofit Sea Turtle Inc. released 92 Kemp's ridley sea turtle hatchlings early in the morning on Thursday, June 21, 2007, on South Padre Island. Ila Fox Loetscher founded Sea Turtle Inc. in 1977 to educate the public, assist with conservation efforts, and rescue, rehabilitate, and release injured sea turtles.
